This is a photo on 31st October 2011 on the evening of Makrab (Malam Keakraban) for new students at Jambi University. The event was held in the Hall of Antiquities, Kotabaru, and Jambi on 31st October until 1st November. The event for welcome the new students’ university’s arrivals 2010 force. So, this year all of students have religion Christian in Jambi University. As well as, I also was taking part in this event for committee membership. Oten, Kana, and I join in the P3K cooperative, while Ruth joined at the donation cooperative. I'm so glad, because this is the second time I attend in Makrab. Before the event day arrived, almost every day we had meetings to prepare for this event for successfully. But, my friends and I rarely attended the meetings, probably only 4 times my friends and I followed so I did not know at all the plans made by the committee of Makrab. The waiting day was come; all of the members of the committee were told for come
early and gathered in the Hall of Antiquities wearing white uniforms. Arriving at the Hall of Antiquities, I was confused and did not know what I should do in there. All members of the committee are busy to welcome a new student groups. There are comes two buses to the Hall Antiquities, the leaders of groups must re-record the attended of new students. While my friends and I are confused what must we do. I also just sit and nothing say, I feel want for go home because I was not considered by the committee. Maybe, because of I rarely attended the meeting so that they are a bit indifferent to us.
But since I've been there, I and my friends take part as a leader of groups that consist from ten students per group. I'm so glad because I found anything to do in there and hanging out with my friends and get to know about the students. Many activities we do in there such as games, worship together and many other entertainments that we do in there. Even I did not sleep because of in the night we told each other and sharing. The next morning we were doing gymnastics together. Sunday afternoon around 5 o'clock, I went home. It was a very tiring and unpleasant. I also get a new experience in there.
